2019 Charity Organizations

The 2019 Free Flow Festival will support 501(c)(3) charities benefiting adult female survivors of human trafficking in SE Michigan, including:

Detroit Crime Commission / detroitcrimecommission.org

The Detroit Crime Commission’s mission is to act as a citizen ally to public and private organizations in Southeast Michigan, by facilitating the prevention, investigation and prosecution of crime leading to a safer place to live, learn and work. In an effort to combat human trafficking in Southeast Michigan the DCC partners with law enforcement and private entities to investigate potential human trafficking rings and assist law enforcement in disrupting these rings.

Hope Against Trafficking / hopeagainsttrafficking.org

Hope Against Trafficking is a Southeast Michigan-based campaign in support of the fight against human trafficking and is presented by Monarch Wings, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. HAT is a 24-month residential program that provides restorative housing and comprehensive services focused on physical, mental, emotional and economic transformation. This dedicated housing and programming is committed to serving adult female survivors of sex and labor trafficking induced by threat, force and/or coercion.

Sanctum House / sanctumhouse.org

Sanctum House opened in February 2018 after 5 years of research and development to become the first facility of its kind in SE Michigan. In collaboration with community partners, individualized support is offered for up to 12 residents through programming which consists of several components and phases utilizing protocol that is trauma-informed and resident-centered to enable the achievement of fulfillment in all areas of the person’s life.

Gifts of Grace Ministries

Gifts of Grace is a Detroit street outreach ministry delivering resources and assistance to sex-trafficked women, creating pathways to safety, recovery, healing and well-being.
